This article reflects on the importance of the intercultural dialogue and highlights the use of African art as a basic educational instrument. Starting from an inter-university and trans-disciplinary experience carried out at the University of Lleida, with the participation of other groups and institutions, a series of dialogic contents are deployed aimed a greater understanding of the uniqueness of the carvings and other artistic objects and cultural and identity constructs of people from sub-Saharan Africa. These contents not only imply the so-called African “art”, but also the Western responsibility regarding the colonial experience and the modern appropriation of the same, given that intercultural education is also linked to it.Downloads
