Eating disorders, type of attachment and body image concern

The current study is a descriptive analysis along with the research of the relation between eating disorders and emotional attachment as well as body image concerns. A total of 30 participants with eating isorders were interviewed, all of them aged between 14 and 35 years old. In that interview, questions were bout the diagnosis of eating disorders, their emotional attachment and how much their body image worried them. Among the results, it is noteworthy that the insecure attachment style was significantly more frequent than the secure one in the patients, also showing great concern for their body image. No clear results could be established according to sex due to the lack of male representation.
