Knowledge and Conduct of Adolescents to the Risk of Human Papilloma Virus

One of the sexually transmitted infections with high rate of infection in adolescents is caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), this is associated with the beginning of sexual life at an early age, with multiple sexual partners, this article denotes It is important to investigate knowledge and behavior of adolescents, this with the aim of establishing the state of the art in this regard to design strategies for intervention in adolescents. The human papilloma virus is the cause of numerous cancers such as cervical cancer, cancer of the penis and oropharyngeal cancer, among others, this virus is also the cause of injuries such as genital warts and papillomas. For this reason and derived from the fact that this virus affects the health of both women and men, since there is a vulnerability to both being asymptomatic and linked carriers of human papilloma virus infection, in addition to having information regarding this The topic serves to sensitize adolescents about the human papilloma virus with the strategic vision of decreasing the incidence of the virus. Having knowledge about the virus and risk behaviors in this age group does not guarantee positive results, but if you do not count on it, the results will always be negative.
