Abstract

This article analyzes the Spanish Education System, studying teacher evaluation in kindergarten and primary, that it can be considered as the main point in the academic development of students. For this purpose education laws were analyzed to study the different functions and roles of teachers at classroom in the last decades. A survey of seventy-seven teachers from eight schools was also performed. The results confirm the ineffectiveness of ephemeral laws and disagreement with educational inspections, salary, high ratio of students per classroom, working conditions and the process for teacher selection.
