This study analyses the social support and relationships of young people experiencing homelessness and housing exclusion (YPeH). The research is based on a mixed method design using a questionnaire (n=181) and in-depth interviews (n=9) with YPeH. The results show low levels of social support and relational insecurity among the participants. The lowest average levels of social support are found among males, people in severe homelessness situations, people of African origin and the unemployed. This relational precariousness is structured by the lack of family and friendship references. At the same time, this relational precariousness is mitigated by the work of social intervention professionals. The study concludes by highlighting the importance of addressing youth homelessness by incorporating relational aspects, which are key elements in confronting the effects of social inequalities.
