Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present outcomes of research conducted with a group of students who are pursuing a career in social work at the Universidad Autonoma in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. The study was conducted to show if and how thefollowing factors: age, marital status, children, socioeconomic status and family environment significantly affected each student's professional endeavors while attending the university. Such endeavors included community service as well as everyday activities in their personal lives.
